Medical Billing Specialist
Job Title: Billing Specialist
Ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and submitting claims and following up with insurance companies to ensure correct reimbursement. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for posting and managing patient account payments. Applicants must be able to answer questions from patients and insurance companies. Is able to Identify and resolve patient billing complaints; prepare, review and send patient statements.
Must be able to perform various collection actions including contacting patients by phone, correcting and resubmitting claims to third party payers.
Required Skills/
Experience:
Working knowledge of medical billing/collection practices. Must have EMR experience plus knowledge of basic medical coding and third-party operating procedures and practices. Must be well organized and detail-oriented. College degree a plus.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
